For my practical production, we have decided to work in a group of two to produce a 7 to 8 minute long documentary on ‘Islamophobia’. As the title suggests we will be exploring why there is such an irrational fear to Islam, and the way Muslims are being victimised in society through many aspects especially the media as its so influential, due to a number of factors like journalists who are seen as Islamophobic like Polly Toynbee. We have decided that the documentary would last approximately 7-8 minutes as our primary target audience are teenagers 16+.Moreover one of our objectives is to educate and inform the public.

Islamophobia will hopefully challenge the typical stereotypes of the way muslims are being represented in society.

For my practical production, we have decided to make a short documentary, on 'Islamophobia'.

In a group of two, we have decided to work together because I'm (Naziya) a muslim and my partner is a Non- Muslim, and therefore we can express our different views towards 'Islamophobia', giving a balanced argument, to our primary target audience, of teenagers 16+.

The Purpose of this documentary will be to inform and educate our target audience as well as to challenge people's views towards Islam.
